Professor Cenk Acar is a urologist based in Istanbul whose clinical and academic work centres on uro-oncology and robotic urological surgery. He heads the Department of Urology at İstanbul Atlas University Faculty of Medicine and sees patients at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital in Ümraniye, Istanbul.

Education and specialist training
Professor Acar was born in Ankara in 1977 and completed his primary and secondary education at Ankara Özel Yükseliş College. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in June 2001.
He completed his residency in urology at the Department of Urology, Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between June 2002 and September 2006. He then carried out his compulsory state service at Mardin Kızıltepe State Hospital (2007–2008) and his military service at Konya Military Hospital (2008–2009).
Fellowship in robotic and laparoscopic uro-oncology
In 2012 he undertook fellowship training in the Department of Urology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in the Netherlands, focusing on robotic and laparoscopic surgery for urological cancers. During this period he worked on minimally invasive surgical treatment of prostate, kidney and other urological malignancies.

Professor Acar joined Hisar Intercontinental Hospital in January 2023 and continues his clinical work there, alongside his academic and teaching responsibilities at İstanbul Atlas University.
